LUH-VING YOOUU...Adopting an animal from a shelter is the first step in green pet parenthood, but more
than that~ it's
soo good for your heart!

Adoption:
If wandering in and out of shelters looking for the perfect pal sounds laborious and emotionally wrenching,
make Petfinder.com your first stop.  There, you can view animals for adoption in your area, and screen them by species,
breed, and size.  You'll see pictures of your new best friend, along with a brief bio.  Some of these animals are at
shelters, some are at adoption agencies, and others are being fostered, but all of them are RESCUES, and would love
to spend the rest of their lives loving you.

Fostering:  Fostering is the temporary food, shelter and love you offer to a cat or dog who would otherwise be
euthanized by a shelter.
Shelters are quickly overcrowded, and some really great animals aren't given a chance to be
adopted.
You have the power to change this, by being willing to care for it until an adoptive parent is found.
Maybe you're not ready to offer long-term companionship to an animal...Maybe you travel, or are a student? Consider
fostering! Foster parents are in high demand, and there are many agencies right here in the Bay Area who will help
you save a life.  Fostering is a great way to see if you're ready for a long term companion~
AND it will make you feel like a hero, whether you save one animal or a hundred!
